Who am I? I am a wife. I am a boy momma.. I am a full-time employee. I am the head cook of my family. I am the chief maid. I’m a taxi driver. I am a friend. I’m a volunteer and the list goes on and on.  Those are some of the good things I am but I am also workaholic and sometimes I feel invisible. I often yell too much, and can be impatient with people, especially my children. And this list goes on and on also.  The world calls these many identities -our different hats, but for this weekend, we will call them crowns.  Our crowns come in many shapes and sizes, colors, finishes.  Some of our crowns are bright and shiny, and some of our crowns are tattered and broken.  Some of our crowns are on display for the whole world to see and some of our crowns may be hidden.

On this weekend, it is my prayer that we embrace that we are His daughter first and believe with certainty who He says we are.  We must make room for His crown, the Everlasting Crown, the Crown that will not fade away.  It is a call to surrender who we think we are at the foot of the cross and with confidence accept our identity as His daughter, Heiress to the whole kingdom – accept His Everlasting Crown.

The real questions in front of you are:

What crowns do you need to lay down in order to make room for His crown?  We only have one head and can only wear one crown, which crown will you choose?  The crowns that fade away or the Everlasting Crown.
