Grace & Mercy for Splinters and Stones
For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.
1 Peter 4:10
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
The theme for the women’s fall 2018 weekend is, “Grace and Mercy for Splinters and Stones.” He revealed this theme to me after a journey of repentance, reconciliation, renewal, and refreshing in my own life. The splinters represent our own sin, but through Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, and repentance, God’s grace and mercy covers all.
The stones represent the stones we as believers use against others. It is through the journey of understanding and accepting God’s grace in my own life, that God challenged me to grow in showing that grace and mercy toward others. I believe He is calling this team to dig deeper in our own acceptance of grace and mercy and challenge ourselves to grow in Christian leadership as we truly live out Christ’s hands in action through showing grace and mercy, not only on this weekend, but in this world.
